I was going to ask if the IBEW might be a little more conservative than most of the other unions, but it looks like you answered my question.

Up here in Fairbanks, the “commie” fringe in the IBEW is very small. Most union members have NRA and Republican bumper stickers on their trucks. Of course the Alaska IBEW in Alaska is kind of separated from the lower 48 crowd too.
