The fact that they continue to run the ad and have been doing so for a couple of months now with no legal action from the Donald proves that Trump's claim is BS.
At one time I liked the Club for Growth. But then at some point during the Reign of George II, they sold out and became a subsidiary of the GOP Establishment and the Chamber of Commerce. I don’t like them.
I am satisfied with the letter from Trump’s lawyers.
I’m tired of your concern troll routine, so don’t bother.
Speaking as a lawyer myself, that much is obvious from the letter itself. There are, generally, two kinds of libel/slander cease-and-desist letters: (i) letters addressing actual actionable libel, which will result in litigation, and (ii) letters that are intended to get the letter-writer's side of the story out into the public. I've written many letters of both varieties, and Trump's letter is clearly the latter kind.
CFG said negative things about Trump, Trump wanted to publicly battle with them and discredit the ads, so Trump had his lawyer write a blustery letter. Trump never intended to actually sue CFG.
