On Monday, a Georgia Southern University (GSU) student wrote a Facebook post that directed some harsh words towards the Black Lives Matter movement, which has led her to become the center of controversy across social media.
Faz was reportedly fired from her job at a local Wild Wings Cafe restaurant as a result of the attention, which allegedly included students calling for her expulsion from GSU.
The reactions weren't limited to social media alone, as WJCL reports that the GSU NAACP chapter staged a walkout the very next day, though one group official noted it was "not necessarily in response to the comments the young lady made."
While there are many who've defended Faz and her comments - with some arguing that she was expressing her opinion and not promoting violence - the situation seems to say something about the potential real-life implications that a simple Facebook post can have in America today.
I wonder how long it will be until someone manages to get the BLM folks to back down.
BLM= 0bama’s Brown Shirts.
"I'm just going to leave this here. I swear if I see this BS at Southern, I'll make you regret even knowing what a movement or a hashtag is, and you'll walk away with your tail tucked. This whole black lives matter movement is misguided and out of hand. Maybe no one likes or takes y'all seriously because no one can see past you egotistical b***s***.
Some people might just look past it, but fair warning I'm am [sic] not one. All lives matter, that has always been the case, and you are part of the problem if you think other wise.
From a linked article:
This infuriates me. Anyone who defends this religion and its followers can take a long walk off a short pier. This is sickening, all of these innocent lives lost. People can't even enjoy their Friday night without being scared to lose their life in a terror attack, and guess who did it this time, yeah huge shocker....
Why would this horrible woman say that the emperor was naked?
Thank God BW2 doesn’t allow thoughts like this!
I agree with her.
Of course, the truth is unacceptable.
If everyone would stand up at the same time, BLM would be dead in the water. BLM are a small minority of big mouths. But the other students are cowards and hang targeted students out to dry alone. Doesn’t say much for this generation.
