Thanks. Back in the 50’s and 60’s it was an absolute beautiful place. I was not born then but many of my older friends speak fondly of the ‘old days’. It makes me sad too because even in the 70’s and 80’s it was ok.....not great but at least no shootings or anything like they do now. The city was founded with the Polish, Italian and German and some Russians. Today it is almost 70 percent Hispanic.....but of course you can’t speak negatively about it or your a racist......shake head.

Those earlier immigrant groups you mention were wonderful neighbors. We grew up with them in Queens, NY - oh, the bakeries and butcher shops! Very, very sad.
