Finance minister Wolfgang Schauble has said the German army could be deployed to the streets in a security role, should the nation come under attack.
Reflecting on post-Paris terror attacks security reviews, politician Mr. Schauble admitted that German police resources were basically insufficient for the enormous task at hand. Looking to where extra manpower could come from in times of national stress, the said the nation should look to the army.
The minister said: "If we had a situation like Paris, perhaps with roadblocks in three or four places, you will need to think about whether our police capabilities are sufficient", adding that the national police were already overtaxed on "many normal weekends", reports Germany's NewsTV.

far far better to deploy the German army to deport the Muslims back to their own countries, ASAP!
Why let them in then freak out over attacks, dispatch thousands of police and military, spend millions $$$ chasing down suspects.. WTF?
send the Muslims to their own countries now.. and you won’t have to activiate your army in the streets of your own towns and villages (and your homes schools, and shops won’t all have to be battle field targets )

Unlike the United States, Germany has no Posse Comitatus Act,
which restricts the participation of the military in domestic law enforcement activities. The Bundeswehr may be given full authority to quell potential centers of unrest, except for one thing. They have very few weapons to effectively control riots in a culturally sensitive manner.
Might be a lot of collateral damage.

Gee, I’m sure the government would never use the presence of the muslims to quell their political opponents and public gatherings or anything.

Collateral damage is often necessary. But the better aim the G army has at the enrmy within. The better. And if they try to be “culturally sensitive” the fatherland will be a lost cause. (Besides, and to its credit: one normally wouldn’t look to the G army for cultural sensitivity, ha!)
