But recognizing absurdity when we see it is no less troubling, especially when such hypocrisy tarnishes essential institutions of higher learning and threatens to turn out young people woefully unprepared for life in a democratic society.

When/if “Red Dawn” comes, these annoying hothouse flowers & snowflakes will be SOL. They’re part of the 50% who vote for a living, while the other 50% (FReepers included) work for a living and pay taxes to support the other half.

Many people don’t realize that the Freedom of Speech also includes the freedom to hear. West Virginia Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943).

Freedom from speech. The liberal staff must be pleased as punch by these events (that they've organized and encouraged.) Yet another non-graduating class, ready to go out into the world and be broke social justice warriors saddled with tens of thousands of non-dischargeable debt and not one marketable skill.
What choice will they have but to continue on their course of being a drone for the Democrat party?

Don’t they have a right to safe places where their feelings won’t get hurt by others mean and intolerant words??
When they go from the sanitized public school environment that excludes messages on T-shirts, Halloween costumes, prayers, Christmas and most opinions, to the outside world, it can be brutal.
College should be the place for tolerance and acceptable messages.
Like how Bruce, oops, Catlin Jenner is a true hero and role model.

The left is the first to claim the right to be just as vile, crude and obscene as they wish. Say even the mildest of things in reply, and they will have you before a star chamber at your campus or HR department fighting for your right to even exist.
Trouble is that most college administrators and HR heads see themselves as commissars to enforce their one-sided rules.

NO.
A punch in the mouth, resulting in a split lip will teach them that life isn’t a shelter.

RE:”

By the way ‘illegal’ is considered a ‘hate’ term now.
The correct term is ‘immigrant’

I have a right to speak but I don’t have a right to be heard.
But the left does not want you to speak to begin with.

I have the right to hear what is being said. If I were a student in one of these state universities, trying to listen to a speaker who was being shouted down by the leftists turds, I would sue the university for denying me the right to hear the speaker. When the SHTF and we are setup in enclaves around the country, there will be no such thing as a “administrator.” The person who steps up to “manage” things is the first one shot.

When I was in high school, more years ago than I would like to admit, I got in a debate with a fellow student who proclaimed himself to be a Communist.
He made some assertions and after I dismantled his case (brilliantly, if I may say so myself), he yelled, “You’re denying me my freedom of speech.”
I said, “No, just exercising mine.”

Yes, I am surprised that no one has used it before now. I hope some conservative law school students take it and run with it.
