Trump: I’ll ‘go to war’ with Cruz if he rises higher
The Hill ^ | 11/16/2015 | Mark Hensch

Donald Trump said Monday he is capable of turning on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in their competition for the GOP’s 2016 presidential nomination.

“If he catches on, I guess we’ll have to go to war,” he told host Joe Kernen on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” “We’ll see what happens but so far we haven’t,” Trump continued. "He’s been very supportive [and] we have a lot of the same ideas.

“Well, he’s been very nice and supportive of everything I’ve said, more than anybody else.”

There is no way Trump can go to war intellectually with a man of double his intellect.

And yet Trump is a billionaire and Cruz got played by McConnell.

You have a marvelous point that is well taken. I think the Cruzers are excited by Cruz moving at all and making it a contest. And, Cruz has a challenger. His name is TRUMP.

They need to have a target, and Trump at 42% in Reuters poll, is “it”. Cool.

When Cruz is president, the corker provisions will quickly enable the kill of the Iran deal.

Really? Then why even vote for it in the first place? As it stands now, the Iran deal has the full Constitutional backing of the Congress. If it were me, low info reactor, I would never have voted for TPA or the corker bill.

You are exactly right...He’s a politican first..and always. The “pledges” to reform/cancel this or that made as a candidate, (yawn)..are quickly forgotten once elected...Give us a Patriot..not another Politician.

I am not a Carson fan.

“BTW, you want to give us some examples of Cruz supporters, including me, calling you a “horrible person?” There must be plenty of them, so lay them all out. Thanks.”

I am not about to revisit all of that. There are some few Cruz supporters who remind me of happening upon a venomous snake with an attitude. I am not above getting a bit nasty myself when I am attacked. I am not offended if someone supports Cruz; we are all entitled to a favorite. As I have noticed some other posters observe: Cruz is not vicious but some of his supporters here are.

I thought I was being communicative, and not arrogant, and that other four syllable word you used.

You ought to see me when I’m mad. I’m not mad. And you ARE sensitive aren’t you. Harrumphing that Trump and Cruz might have to mix it up a little. I mean, LOL!!

“What do you expect him to say - gosh, lemme move over for Ted?”

VERY TRUE. And had he done the above, we’d still be looking at Carla’s face and there would likely be a forensics team on their way to Egyptian Pyramids, as I type.

Tough talk considering his wife walked right into that den.

And tough talk from Trump on illegal immigration when it was only three years ago that Trump called Mitt's self-deportation plan, "mean spirited".

Here's a little truth and context for you:

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump argued that 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney's self-deportation policy is mean-spirited on Thursdays "Special Report" on the Fox News Channel.

People will have to go out, they are illegal immigrants, they came in illegally, they have to go out, and they have to come back legally. Bret, there will be a deportation, and hopefully they'll be able to come back into the country.

If Trump’s wife was on the CFR, I’m sure you’d stay quiet on it and distract us from that.

Okay, so in post #97 you said “plenty” of Cruz supporters called you a “terrible person.” Now you’re backpedaling...a “few” make you think of something, but you can’t come up with any proof to support your original accusation.

Just as I thought, you’re lying.

Dismissed.

BB I hate to break it to you but we’re in the primary season right now. Just how do you propose we select our candidate? Draw straws? There’s time to go after the RAT candidate when we’ve selected our guy and the RATs have selected theirs. Actually, this time, whom we choose is a whole lot more important than it’s been in the past. It’s not Hebbie’s turn, and this time events have given us a chance to pick a real candidate for a change.

Cruz call the CFR a “a pit of vipers” and “a pernicious nest of snakes”...”working to undermine our sovereignty”.

And yet he takes their money and supports their globalist agenda...go figure.

Wow. Cruz the apprentice, who could learn a lot under Trump.

Holy smokes.

Trump is a patriotic celebrity billionaire real estate mogul who self-promoted himself to fame through self-promotion in PR, TV, and showmanship. For 21 of the past 26 years, he donated equally to Democrats as to Republicans, a little more in fact to Democrats. He became successful in business by being apolitical, without reference to politics.

Cruz is a Constitutional conservative and politician who has made a lifelong study of the Constitution. No one "runs" America; its government is supposed to be OUR servant. You're talking about getting a smart flamboyant businessman to run American government.

Bad idea.

Pretty much. It's a fight for the nomination. If Cruz can't fight and beat Trump for the GOP nomination, he is going to find it hard to fight and beat Hilary Clinton in the general. Unpleasant as it is, the two of them may have to go after each other to win the nomination. That's life.

Yeh especially when Teddy finally had to jump on the Trump bandwagon after Trump predicted a Trojan horse coming in with the Syrian refugees. Oh and now Teddy wants to deport people where he never did before. LOL

What the hell are you talking about? You are very badly mistaken, dear.

Way back on Sept. 24 "Teddy" was doing more than talking -- he was actively urging Homeland Security and Congress to do something about it.

Sorry to burst your bubble.
