The most recent reports say there is a crisis in child services in the United States. The cost of daycare spaces has reached absolutely astronomic levels. Placement at the University of Missouri, for example, easily breaks the $40,000 threshold. {SNIP}
If Jonathan Swift -- and I do not think there is a single protestor at Yale or Mizzou who knows anything about him, except that he is dead and was white) â were around today, he would curl up in a fetal ball at the impossibility of mocking a reality so pathetically stupid that it is mock-proof.
Yale campus was rocked by the mere anticipation of what some people might wear â might â at a Halloween party. Next an unwary female lecturer committed the crime of sending an email saying essentially ⦠hey, if you do see a Halloween costume you donât like, let it go. Itâs just a campus party.

Good read. Devastating. I did not know the entire breathtaking scope of the utter worthlessness of the Yale faculty until I had read the article.
There is good news here, though; the children of parents wealthy enough or connected enough to get them in there will no doubt either be absorbed into their father’s company, or into the employ of some well-meaning alumnus/alumna, where they will probably do enough damage, inadvertently or deliberately, to destroy their employer. The pieces will then picked up by hard-working alumni from other schools (probably immigrants) who actually studied. This is a form of the “creative destruction” of capitalism that you may have read about.
