The writers I mentioned were born in France, lived and (some) died on their native soil. They were products of all that is good and evil in that culture.
Blah, blah, blah! Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto in Belgium. He returned to Germany and was thrown out. He returned to France and was thrown out a second time. He continued his work in exile (for the rest of his life) in London.
My knowledge of French history, French literature, and French music...as well as the numerous French inventions which have spearheaded and accomplished magnificent progress for the world FAR exceeds yours. Your feeble attempts to sound knowledgeable are thin and poorly formed. Don’t even TRY to go there!
All that is good and evil in that culture?????????????????????What the hell do you know? Nothing!
Let’s talk about Charles Martel, Henri IV, Napoleon, Voltaire, The Lumiere brothers, Charles Perrault, Marie Curie, Blaise Pascal, The Expressionists, Various Kings and Queens, Amiral de Grasse, and of course Gilbert du Motier, just to warm up. On second thought, the writings of Perraault should occupy you for a time starting with Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Red Riding Hood, Snow white, just for starters. They are about your grade level.
