She talked to a mom whose son was killed by an older white man who shot hm because he was listening to Kanye west in the car, which I do feel is in self defense.
(They didn’t say which music he was actually listening to - I added that)

This is probably what she was referring to, the guy that did the shooting got life. It wasn’t a police officer shooting.
