CBS News is changing its game plan for Saturday's Democratic primary debate in the aftermath of the Paris terror attacks.
The debate questions prepared earlier this week by CBS News political director John Dickerson and the network's congressional correspondent, Nancy Cordes, were designed to burrow deep into the candidates' views on domestic issues such as the Affordable Care Act and gun legislation. But once the news of the deadly coordinated killing rampage in Paris circulated late Friday afternoon, the moderators and producers started planning a greater emphasis on security in the debate queries.
"This becomes the first segment," said Steve Capus, the executive editor for CBS News who is overseeing the production of the event at Drake University in Des Moines. "You've got to get into how do you handle international terrorism?"

Do Republicans usually get the questions in advance like that?
The moderator was COORDINATING QUESTINS wit the campaigns, a few days ago.
I’ll be surprised if they ask Hillary ANYTHING meaningful, jus as Cooper reframed the immigration question so that Hillary wouldn’t have to answer it directly in the last “debate”.
“what is your favorite Muslim cuisine??”
Dickerson must be busy today prepping Hillary on the new questions.
Secretary Clinton, earlier this week, there were reports from the Republicans that you wear a wig. Why do they hate you and other women so much?
Is this debate today? I forgot all about it. What time?
Omg imagine Hillary at the helm if we are under attack.
They aren’t a news organization. They are a liberal marketing team. All the costs should have to be claimed as political donations to democrats.
If there is a drinking game for tonight, people will get alcohol poisoning if they have to drink when a candidate says we need to understand the world’s beleaguered Muslims.
Translation: After further collaboration between the “moderators”, the candidate, and those other two guys, the “debate”, if you could ever call it that, will be a showcase of the Clinton’s (BOTH of them) toughness on terrorism.
LOL this should be funny..watching these Commie Dems defend Islam and the bringing in of all of these “Refugees” which to Dems are nothing more than Democrat Voters, they could care less how many Americans die as long as they get their votes
Based on what Sen. Ted Cruz previously observed, the SeeBS media buttboy/skank moderators will likely ask the Bolshevik or Menshevik fawning questions in the form of “Which of you is more handsome and wise?”
Yes, it will be switched from “Why is the terrible economy the fault of the Republicans?” to “Why is the rise of terror the fault of the Republicans?”
“Iâll be surprised if they ask Hillary ANYTHING meaningful”
You’ll be surprised? So will she!
I loved that line.
As if CBS has the inclination, let alone the intestinal fortitude, to ask Democrat candidates anything but softball questions.
It’s on Saturday so they can get the smallest number of viewers as possible
More on the order of “Can we defuse the situation In Europe by bringing MORE of the Syrian refugees to North America? And should we put transport ships and passenger aircraft at their disposal so they won’t have to resort to small craft to get to ‘refuge’?”
And the favorite Muslim cuisine?
Moroccan couscous with seven stewed vegetables, probably get universal endorsement of all three candidates.
I sure hope they had time to get a copy of the new debate questions to the candidates.
"As President, how would you show ISIS and the Muslim world that the United States means them no harm?"
"What would you do to promote peace and tolerance in the world?"
"Do you believe that France did not go far enough in welcoming Muslim immigrants?"
Hillary rightly ought to be asked, “Given that we had an ambassador killed in Benghazi in Sept. 2012 while under the watch of President Obama and yourself, do you think you are the best qualified to lead our country in the next 4 years?
