While several of the firms are cooperating with an FBI investigation, they're stiff-arming the latest requests from the congressional GOP.
Several companies that worked on Hillary Clintonâs private server are refusing interview and document requests from congressional investigators, even as they are cooperating with the FBI.
Platte River Networks, the Denver-based tech company that housed Clinton's server after she left the State Department in 2013, has declined requests by the Senate Homeland Committee to interview five employees about the security of the system, according to correspondence reviewed by POLITICO.
And Platte is blocking another tech company, Connecticut-based Datto Inc., from answering committee questions about its cloud backup of the Clinton emails, according to a separate letter Datto sent the committee. Datto has a confidentiality agreement with its client, Platte River, and can answer questions about that specific account only with their permission.
While the firms have voluntarily produced some information for congressional Republicans in the past, now it seems they're not willing to go beyond their legal obligations when it comes to responding to committee inquiries. Led by Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), the Homeland panel is trying to ascertain whether classified information was exposed on the homemade server Clinton used while she was secretary of state, an inquiry that's running in parallel with a similar FBI investigation.
So far, Platte River and Datto have cooperated with the FBI, handing over information, documents and computer equipment to federal investigators. Platte River employees also had interviews with the FBI in September.

Time for across the board subpoenas.
Congress can JAIL THEIR LEADERS if they choose to do so.
...but I suspect they know that Congress doesn’t have the ‘equipment’ to do so.
Looking deeper, you can’t blame the company. This is a small company and they certainly can’t afford to dedicate resources to this. Worse, testifying gives them no protection from being sued. Now, if they are subpoenaed by a court or have to produce documents because of a warrant from a judge, that DOES protect them - at least that’s my understanding of the situation.
Subpoena duces tecum NOW. If they fail to responde find them in Contempt of Congress then arrest and imprison them.
"Nice little business you have there--would be a shame if anything happened to it." The Clintons ran a Mafia-type operation before--if Hillary gets in it will be the same on steroids.

Yes, they can issue warrants; subpoenas .. because this involves secret information.
THEY SHOULD DO IT. I hope Ryan will do it. Gowdy is not able to .. it will have to be Ryan.
This was a Democrat politically connected company—and you certainly can blame them—though that doesn’t absolve Hillary of her felonious crimes.

I was in South Jersey yesterday and ran into an employee cleaning up the parking lot...young W guy late 20s early 30s.
I was ‘amazed’ someone that young and of that stature not only working there but being ‘allowed’ to work there.
Was telling me he tried other careers (had a reading disability - though nothing showed in mind or manner of speak, clean appearance etc) in passing he mentioned that he had a close relative that was a High Ranking Police Official in North Jersey and he was unable to get a Job with any Police-Fire-EMS cause the N Jersey rel was D and the area in the South basically run by R’s....(I jokingly said ‘if he/you were D’s, all that wild living when younger wouldn’t have mattered)
I do a pretty good ‘read’ on people and considering the circumstance and how he related it, causes me to believe he is/was telling the ‘truth’.....
However, have noticed lately in that area of turnpike a lot of 30-40 yos pumping gas on the Turnpike. Sort of lead me to believe that maybe some kind of ‘work release’ program or maybe a requirement that the gas pumpers must speak fluent English - of course Union probably has a lot to say along that line - probably a contract job to the NJTA???
Just an observation.. I used to use my own ‘guage’ inre economy back in the 70s/80s when Young Blacks were driving Semis with NC and south tags, economy must have been good as the ‘normal’ drivers found other work....???
Sounds like a typical politically connected hack Democrat that if he can’t get hired through connections for a “public safety” job, all he can get on his own is to sweep a parking lot.
And I imagine in the next economic upturn, truck driving companies will, on average, turn to Hispanics ahead of blacks.
They should have employees show up, declare their innocence and then take the Fifth. It worked for Lois, after all.
Democrat that if he canât get hired through connections for a âpublic safetyâ job, all he can get on his own is to sweep a parking lot.

Like I said, the way it came up and was related, I tend to ‘believe’ him. He had said earlier he couldn’t get on a PD or enlist in the Navy because of a ‘reading disability’. Possibly when he went to the Parkway Authority (he had said Bridge but that would have meant Delaware so family being D probably would have helped).
I normally don’t ‘seek out’ people but was sort of intrigued as to why HE was working at that job - sort of impressed me because he didn’t have the ‘washed out’ look of a druggie, clear eyes, neat in appearance, spoke well and made good, sharp retorts to my ‘humor’.
In fact due to age difference etc the thought ran trough my mind this guy may have thought I had ‘other’ agenda.
I remember while in the Navy and some ‘old guy’(30 or so) would come up to you and comment on your being in the Navy (”Yea Einstein, I am wearing dress blues) and it would turn out he was former Navy or at least Military. ‘We’ always tended to ‘brush them off’....Like I tell my comrades of today, “We are that ‘old dude’ and remember what we thought when innocently approached”).
As to the truckers etc, When I first got out I went into the Asphalt field- the makeup of the crews were White Operators, Black laborers, White Supervisors - on occasion there would be a Black Foreman - usually older but ‘liked’ by others (Blacks didn’t want to work for Blacks) the truck drivers were mostly White but a lot of blacks were owner-operators.
I got out of it and some 30 years later I was helping a friend on a job and noticed the whole trend had shifted.
The foreman were Black, labors Spanish, Operators Black, truck drivers mostly Black with Spanish Owner-Operators.
Funny, the job I was overseeing was in a Working Black neighborhood with a few White hangers on and the main thing they had in common was ‘bitchen’ about the Spanish moving in.
The only thing that changes is the cast of characters.
So the ‘world’ had shifted in 30 years with ME still ‘supervising’....Seems everyone got ahead except me..HA HA..

[shocked face] Probably not what Mrs. Clinton wanted.
I take it as progress that blacks are holding down those additional jobs now. That’s good.
