Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has boxed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) into a corner on immigration. Cruz has come out guns-a-blazing against Rubio all week, firing first and escalating the battle every time Rubio has responded.

And I documented for you Ted Cruz's own team being asked about that incongruity, only to have them say that Cruz's seeming opposition to legalization had more to do with his opposition to their failure to "secure the border first," but otherwise he still endorsed a position of granting legal status as expressed to the Tribune previously.
"Asked by msnbc about where Cruz stands now on legalization, campaign spokeswoman Catherine Frazier said that the senator has been "consistent" and confirmed that the views he expressed in the Tribune had not changed. She described his amendment to the Senate's gang of eight bill as an effort Âto improve a very bad bill that he ultimately opposed.
While Frazier said Cruz fought the bills path to citizenship because it flies in the face of the rule of law, she declined to apply the same label when asked about legal status in the right circumstances.
"I think his main priority is dealing with the border security component and making sure that we know who is coming into the country and making sure that we have control over who is coming into the country and then we can deal with what to do with the people who are already here,"Â she said.

It's worth noting that while Cruz was fighting the Gang of 8 in 2013, Trump was in full amnesty mode meeting with the Dreamers.
That Time Donald Trump Had A Meeting With DREAMers And Said "You Convinced Me"On Immigration
You don't seem to understand that Cruz's team has been endorsing the concept of granting legal status since 2013, even in interviews given long after the Gang of Eight bill was already history. And into our present year, Cruz has AVOIDED the subject of deportation as much as possible, and only, for the first time, is engaging in revisionist history as a result of Rubio's posting of that one video (and there are more like it!).
That doesn't contradict the scenario that it was a poison pill strategy. Rep. Steven King has even said it was a poison pill strategy.
He dems didn’t want Cruz’s amendments....they would have destroyed their bill.
Do you not get that? Dayumm
According to "Dreamers" who admit, in an article to Politico, that they deceptively "crashed" the meeting, and then claim, according to the "recollections" of some illegal alien, that Trump "lied to them" about being convinced. Which we do not find out about until they come forward to Buzzfeed two years later.
Which proves how stupid they were, because then the bill would have passed, and we would have been screwed.
It contradicts the claim that Cruz opposed legal status, and that he didn't really mean it when he said that legal status (but barring them from citizenship) was the "common sense" approach to immigration reform!
Yes, Cruz supported legal status then. He supported it afterwards. And without Donald Trump, would have continued to openly support it instead of simply dodging questions from Chuck Todd or Megyn Kelly.
“Rubio is finished, he just doesnât know it yet.”
Another classic case of a dead man walking.
The day isn’t long enough to reply to your out and out repugnant post.
None are so blind as those who refuse to see
And the day isn't long enough for me to express my contempt for the inability of you idiots to deal fairly with the facts.
No, the dems would have been screwed. They would have passed a bill that ended their mission.
That’s why they voted against it.
In addition, Cruz proved the dems liars by making them vote against something they said they were for.
Outsmarted they were. Apparently he outsmarted you too. Unless you’re lying and are trying to tear down a candidate in hopes of porting another?
You didn't even include the "that's why." Why would they be screwed? How does granting legal status to 40 million illegals screw over the Democrats? It's exactly what the GOPe wants now as their fall-back position since it makes the Globalists happy, and also would give the Democrats a new social issue to work on. It be "former" illegals marching the streets chanting "We are Americans too!"
You CAN'T create a new class of citizen without the ability to vote. You might be able to do it for a few years, but not for long. Courts, Congress, and protestors would see to it that it would not last long.
Unless youâre lying
Lying about what? You mean when I quote Ted Cruz?
You aren’t very capable of thinking OR you’re lying about not understanding.
Cruz’s amendment would have nullified any democrat win on amnesty. It is neither my responsibility nor do I want to repeat myself to a liar.
You’re lying about understanding the Cruz strategy. You may not agree with it and that would be fine. But you’re straight up lying about it.
We have two Texans at FR that are so insane over their candidate, puny for trump, against Cruz and Wifey, against Trump kinda for Cruz that both of you are effen INSANE.
Is Cincinatus' Wife related to you?
Wife, mother, brother, sister trans-gendered spouse?
Both of you need more than counseling, you both require an exorcism.
While I'm not a Priest, I will help you both, but first, you need to send me money, big bucks.
But it would not have taken away legal status for illegals, thus bringing them, in Cruz's own words, "out of the shadows." And Cruz repeated that this was his position long after the Gang of Eight bill was history, as I've already shown in this thread.
That psycho Wifey has no reason for her position. I do, and none of you will acknowledge that.
