We’re going to lose because those of us who give a damn respect the rule of law and think elections will fix the problem. The only way to beat an enemy like this is to abandon those principles and get into the muck ourselves.
Our challeneg as is to temporairly set aside our individual aspirations so as to form common cause. Not just in the cyber span Jim Robinson has provided but also in phyiscal space.
Folks, pardon my ignorance if this is common knowledge or been previously attempted; but, we have got to start meeting up in person and becoming a political entity.
One thing that sucks about the current state of affairs is that conservatives censor themselves in public liberals to not usually and when they go off they go all in. Pandering like no tomorrow occurs.
I believe with the new generation of knowledge/information system we can start to produce a methodology of going on the offfensive and having great arguments to counter the talking points of the left.
For me I imagine one of the reasons I'm a conservative at its most basic level is I don't want people bothering me. I got my stuff I want to do, the stuff I have to do and honestly I want to be left alone.
For some reason perhaps the finite amount of time we have here this leave me alone has become a core construct that allows the rest of my liberty and creativity to occur.
By definition to become activist we must give up our free time and invade the conformt space of others to shake the bad fruit out of the idea tree.
Naturally we suck at this - we need help and I think we can find this help in the form of technology which if folks are interested I'd be happy to think and expond on what that looks like.
We can bring our diverse set of talents and respect for our individuallity together to become a polical force multiplier.
As we argue and advocate for our favorite candidates in this cycle. Lets also be forming the structure and process to work together in a no intrusive, joyous fashion - to fight for the American cause, the mission statement of this site.
