Cruz lies.
Young Yeb! cooked his goose teaming up with Schumer.
Turns out that his plan to
Comprehensively Screw Americans Out Of Their Country
isn’t a popular position
Now that’s funny, don’t care who you are............
RE: Cruz lies.
Can you elaborate?
Read this press release:
http://www.cruz.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=137
And this radio interview from yesterday (from above):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQwLD-yj_fE
Listen from the seven minute mark to the end and compare what he now says to what his own press release says and justifies.
II am singularly UNIMPRESSED with what he said in 2013 and what he is saying today.
People DO CHANGE THEIR MINDS after giving it some thought.
Here’s my take — Cruz’s views on immigration is NOT YET SET. It is not as set s Trump’s.
Based on my impression, he is trying to strike a balance between preventing illegals and trying to determine who is deportable and who is not.
He is most definitely against mass amnesty.
Based on what I hear him when he talks to talk show host, Mark Levin.... I think he does not want to talk about any form of legalization until we can be certain that we can secure the borders.
A real, sincere “evolution” of one’s views in NOT LYING in my book. It’s trying to come up with a clear and coherent strategy on a complex issue.
Cruz gets asked the same exact question about his support for H-1B visa program not once, but twice.
Again, he’s supportive of the program because he thinks it ‘stimulates economic growth’ and wants to prosecute companies who don’t ‘use it as intended.’
Okay Cruz, let’s have a 500% increase in H-1B visas for attorneys, Senators, and Congress members. I’m so sick of the typical GOP double talk that will get Hillary Clinton two terms as President.
“Cruz told Byron York of the Washington Examiner not long after his amendments failed that his objective âwas not to kill immigration reform but to amend the Gang of Eight bill so that it actually solves the problem rather than making the problem worse.â But if Cruz knew his amendments were meant to draw lines in the sand and heâs not for legalization, why didnât his amendment propose barring any illegal immigrants from legalized status? Cruz has built a reputation in the Senate as a policy maximalist, willing to push as far as possible out of principle. It doesnât add up that he would pull a punch and not try to amend the bill to block most or all legalization, too.”
So it’s now admission by omission.
They will stop at nothing.
I agree that Cruz is for increasing legal immigration, especially for high skilled workers, who he claims are employable and do not increase welfare dependency.
However, even Trump is not averse to skilled labor migration.
In Trump’s own POLICY PAPER, SEE HERE:
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/immigration-reform
Trump advocated for raising the prevailing wage for H-1B visas â a category of visa reserved for foreign workers with advanced degrees, generally in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. His position is based on the following reasoning:
(QUOTE)
“We graduate two times more Americans with STEM degrees each year than find STEM jobs, yet as much as two-thirds of entry-level hiring for IT jobs is accomplished through the H-1B program... Raising the prevailing wage paid to H-1Bs will force companies to give these coveted entry-level jobs to the existing domestic pool of unemployed native and immigrant workers in the U.S.”
I laugh in your general direction, Marco! HaHaHa
Trump wants to permanently legalize foreign students who graduate from our colleges. That's 250K every year and they never have to leave. So every year you get an additional 250K.
Compare that to H1Bs who are not permanent.
BTW, it sounds like Cruz is no longer for H1Bs, which is a good thing.
It’s getting interesting, if nothing else.
I said on another thread that it’ll be interesting to see these two flesh it out.
Glad to see Cruz coming around closer to Trump’s way of thinking, on immigration ;-)
Ted Cruz
@tedcruz
In a Cruz Administration, I will immediately suspend the H-1B visa program for 180 days for an investigation & audit https://t.co/JxWTrzbDLd
There is clearly a difference of opinion on STEM jobs then. Cruz said that there are 1.7 STEM job opening for every 1 American applying for a STEM job.
Evidence?
There’s no difference between Rubio and Cruz on increasing H-1B visas. None. Both sponsored legislation to expand the program.
This thread has nothing to do with Trump, who said right here in Nevada the program not one H-1B visa before Americans.

Just stop. He’s done. He’s bought. He has no business being in the White House.
My taxpayer dollars for accrediting universities in China and India so more workers from China and India can come here? IS HE NUTS?
Cruz keeps this up and his Senate seat will be in jeopardy.
Lookslike we havea NooB troller.

Assuming economic growth and more and higher paying jobs for Americans is of any interest to anyone.
