Which is true of ALL human beings. Trump included.

St. Paul himself was prone to violence and hatred. That did not stop him from being a great apostle.

St. Peter had the tendency to speak before he thinks, that didn’t stop him from being a great apostle either.

Somehow, in Trump’s mind, there is no room for spiritual control or even redemption.

Actually, the term "pathology" has a specific meaning in a psychological setting - which is almost assuredly the meaning Carson himself had in mind when he used it since his pre-medical degree was in psychology.

That definition is,

"operational modifications in someone or an organ corresponding to or stemming from illness or disorder. 2. the scientific analysis of operational and structural modifications engaged in physical and cognitive disorder and illness."

We're not talking about "spiritual redemption" here. Especially since, as an SDA, Ben Carson is not saved and hasn't been "made a new creature" per II Cor. 5:17.
