Donald Trump told Fox News after the last debate in Milwaukee that he was in a "diplomatic" phase of his campaign. No longer. This Washington Post report of Trump's rally in Iowa last night is a must read. Trump's popularity has always been based in part on his entertaining qualities. But apparently his audience wound up seeing a darker side last night.

But I'm pulling for Cruz.
I happen to agree with Trump’s assessment. And I think it’s better based on evidence than what you wannabe experts on the Holy Spirit have who think violent sociopathy can be cured overnight.
It's all media antics with an agends. They're trying to pick our candidate for us again.
Isn't this the 102,845th time the pundits have declared Trump gone?
“So your constant bashing of Trump means you and the other Trump bashers here are either stupid or allies of the globalists/Marxist.”
You sound just like the Obama supporters of the last two elections. Questioning a candidate is what our Republic is founded on, not blind obedience.
“So Mr. Trump is also an authority on the workings of the Holy Spirit?”
Blinky doesn’t speak for the Holy Ghost. He is no more of an authority than Trump.
Too bad—I used to like John Fund.
Do you believe the Holy Spirit led Carson to join a cult? Carson has been misled as badly as Romney, when it comes to spiritual matters. There's no other valid explanation for either man, both undeniably intelligent but still swallows the swill fed to them by their respective cults.
That's not even the reason I could not vote for either of them.
(Excepting, I would vote for Carson if he's the nominee - Anybody is better than Hillary) Except Romney.
The Donald has the enthusiasm, yes. But less and less the wisdom and that is becoming a real concern now. He sounds like he isn’t listening as much to good advisors, who have admirably guided him through the first phases of his campaign. I pray this reverses. Loose cannons are not going to do very well at unifying America.
In no particular order, if he wants to romance a deal with Christendom, he might think less about Starbucks’ coffee cups and more about the mysteries of how the Lord works.
The knife/buckle incident. Carson did not say but it sounds like a plate or trophy buckle was involved. It is not prima facie absurd.
I was worried also about Trump’s words. But given that John Fund (i.e., GOPe) is calling him finished for 20th time, I’m not worried anymore.
Thanks for posting!
Everybody is harping on how Seventh Day Adventists are cult cult cult cult cult till we are ready to sigh and go to sleep.
They are a Christian denomination with some theological oddities but yes, a core salvific doctrine that matches up with mainstream evangelical. God would rather someone go to heaven as a result of gospel heard from a “cult” than to go to hell in some denomination of supposedly orthodox teaching.
HiTech, this is why we need to pray for him....
....he needs our prayers....
......if he truly knows the Lord......even as a young Christian, he’s still being proven and tested and sanctified
...he’s been going down this political road for 5 months......he takes a beating and keeps on ticking
I truly think last night he was exhausted and maybe ona cold medication....
I watched the speech via live stream. Trump was great. Nothing dark at all about it. He did accurately describe the mess the country is in.
Another TDS fail.
Really?
This is the level of rhetoric that takes Trump to the WH?
Frankly, I'm not supporting either of these guys, although I think they are both serving a useful purpose, but ugly is as ugly does and the D's mask has slipped a little.
I listened to him and my thought was “he sounds like a standup comedian and not a very good one” I was appalled actually.
To be fair, what’s the context for this. There could be multiple errors, which cancel one another out. The assertion is that if you did something heinous, you are doomed to be enslaved to heinousness all your life. That is a likelihood in the natural circumstance, but Carson is presenting a testimony of Christ. Believe it or don’t, but such testimonies are frequent and frequently found true.
{”And if so, are you defending that vitriol?”}
Questioning Carson’s Christian conversion was wrong. Saying it doesn’t happen that way when it sometimes does was wrong.
Inserting “child molester” as an associated condition was wrong.
Too much of this may create battle fatigue, even among his supporters.
This is a situation in which Carson could join with Christians of other denominations and assert the power of Christ and literally have a come to Jesus moment with Trump. Everybody wins in such a case. There are no losers because God forgives. Well there is one loser, Jesus on the cross, but He came back as a winner too.
Sweet Lord!! The only thing that has jumped the shark is the “Has Trump Jumped the Shark” stories. The man is a genius with regard to getting free publicity. He says something outrageous, tweets the media or otherwise is bombastic and and media proceeds to give him free press.
