Milwaukee police officers are respectful of the American flag because of the liberty it represents.
Black Lives Matter protesters just want the freedom, and couldn't care less about the flag - or the country that affords it.
Democratic State Sen. Lena Taylor posted several photos of protesters outside the Milwaukee Theatre where the Republican presidential debate was taking place last night, including one of a protester standing on an American flag and pointing at it.

I hate these people. When I read about bad things happening to seemingly good people I wish it would be instead inflicted on the ones who are causing all the strife right now.
NO, they do not want 'freedom' they want LICENSE (aka exclusive privilege) to disrupt and riot! As for any perspective on the real grievances, they should look at any other country in the world and see how other minorities are treated. Yes they can protest and make their grievances KNOWN, just don't trample over others in doing so!
I think this has already been posted, but I’m pinging it again just in case. Certainly, it is a story that can’t be repeated enough times. The Milwaukee Police doing good the night before Veteran’s Day. Bunch a thugs trying to disrupt the Republican debates.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Good on these officers!
(interestingly enough, now that the flag has been tattered and torn by the scumbag protesters, isn’t the proper course of action to respectfully burn the flag in order to dispose of it?)

Yes. Both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign War posts have patriotic ceremonies and procedures to dispose of flags. If you own a tattered and fading flag, take it to either of these vet organizations for proper retirement of the colors.
Where’s Rick Monday when you need him?
Exactly. And with respect to this particular flag, I can't help but think that there is something powerfully symbolic about the VFW (or the American Legion, or even these officers themselves) using fire, the same basic means that these scumbag protestors were trying to use to defame and desecrate the flag, but in a totally different context, to patriotically pay respect to the very same flag.
