I said they appeared well-researched-I’m aware that his co-author does the research-and I doubt that BOR listens to him-or anyone else-that pompous ass just babbles his opinion, no matter what the subject is-he is king in his own little world...

Mark Levin has alluded to skeletons in O’Reilly’s closet. I remember a few years ago O’Reilly admitted to making an out of court settlement to make a woman go away and stay quiet. O’Reilly is full of himself. I don’t trust him or what he says about Reagan.

There has to be some kind of personal feud going on here.
Will started this by not calling a fellow employee and giving them the courtesy of a heads up that he was writing a critical piece about BOR’S book. Then Will used his position on Special Report to try and tank the interview airing later that night with The Factor.
Both players are reacting like there is a long simmering feud.

Another besides Will is Mark Levin, who actually served in the Reagan administration. Last night he launched a verbal bombast at BOR that was a joy to listen to.

True historians look at all the facts first before they develop their thesis, much like a good detective they go where the facts lead them.

Other historians look for ideas that support their thesis and write from that vantage point. Quite unlike a good detective.

O'Reilly, even though he has his bachelors in history, he must have forgotten his training, or he did not do enough research.

I suspect he wrote his books merely to make money, and that is never a good way to further good history.

When someone writes "history" that is not complete, they are really writing fiction.

So, Bill - just save us all the anguish and just write some novels.

Wow, if George Will calls you a fraud, you’ve become Ted Baxter.

>> Were the lungs the seat of wisdom, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly would be wise, but they are not and he is not.

Granted, George Will is a twerp, but that line there is pure wisdom and truth!

With luck, BOR and GW will annihilate each other in this cage match and we’ll all win.

A pox on both of them. They are using conservatives to make millions and nothing changes for Middle Class families, the bed rock of our country.

Liberals, who have long recognized that to discredit conservatism they must devalue Reagan’s presidency, surely are delighted with O’Reilly’s assistance. The diaspora of Reagan administration alumni, and the conservative movement, now recognize O’Reilly as an opportunistic interloper.

That relates to one of the questions that Will raised and O’Reilly didn’t want to answer:

How can you write a book on Reagan without talking to those who were closest to him? (Or visiting the Reagan Library)

And also, if (as O’Reilly claims), it’s a laudatory book about Reagan, then why are the Reaganauts all so critical of it (to the point, O’Reilly also claims, of trying to suppress it)?

The only answer will be to shout at anyone who asks.

Will was right, O’Reilly was wrong, and as usual, Bill just shouted him down and never gave him a chance to state his case.

So George is the bad guy in this? And OReilly is the good guy?

I really don’t give a dam about what you think or feel about anyone on the planet

The question in this is who is right about Ronald Reagan?
And I side with Will on this

He does a good job of laying out his case against the OReilly book
