If baby Hitler had had a father in his life when he was growing up, he might not have grown up to be Hitler.

Alois Hitler was not an absentee father from what I have read, so apparently one can have a father in one’s life and still grow up to be a Hitler.

Alois Hitler was a severe abusive SOB, but then, most German fathers at that time and place were severe disciplinarians to some degree. It made for fertile ground for the growth of the Nazi Party. I read where Rudolf Hoess’s father was a Staunch Catholic and Rudy was brought up to obey authority without question.

It made him a perfect commandant for Auschwitz.

As for “Hebbie”, He’ll “fix it” until it’s broken.
