Do this mean you support TPP, gun control, statehood for PR, amnesty?? Carson needs to explain his policy positions and those supporting him need to figure out why they are supporting a liberal progressive.
I have said, numerous times, that no, I do not support some of Carson's positions. I have stated that I support Cruz more than any other on a position by position basis. I have written several times that if Cruz is still in the race when it comes to TN, I will probably vote for him.
I am - I think - 99% behind just about any stand that the NRA takes. The only reason I don't say 100% is that I can't claim that I know or have read all of them. Have not even read anything that Carson has stated about gun control other than when he has voiced support for citizens owning guns to protect themselves from nut-jobs and the government. I'm sure you can supply a quote for me some time, and I will be sure to read it and investigate it.
Statehood for PR - no, I think that would be a big mistake.
Amnesty - no, I think amnesty would be an enormous mistake.
It is possible to disagree with a candidate on several positions, and that candidate not be your first or second choice, and still come out in defense of that candidate when he is being unfairly attacked. If your candidate ever becomes the front-runner, I hope you will remember what happened to Trump and Carson and how you were all too giddy to pile on. And, I know you will hope and pray that people like me will state our support of your candidate when he comes under fire for this kind of character assassination.
I have no problem supporting whomever the GOP nominates, and I have no problem with sharp elbows on real issues. Real issues like amnesty and gun control should be explored and GOP candidates vetted in a tough way.
