Maria Bartiromo sees her role in moderating the next Republican presidential debate as getting specifics, not generating entertainment.
"This is a serious election," said the Fox Business Network anchor. "Many people feel we're still in a recession. They see the rich getting richer. The issues are most important. What is it these people [the candidates] have to say about it? Why are we in a stagnant position and how will they change it?"
Bartiromo will be one of three debate moderators at 9 p.m. Tuesday on Fox Business. She will be joined in Milwaukee by fellow Fox Business anchor Neil Cavuto and Wall Street Journal Editor-in-Chief Gerard Baker.

Apart from giving Jeb the questions in advance, will Gerard give his buddy Karl Rove another pre-debate Op-Ed to attack Trump, just like he did the last Fox debate?
Right, I wouldn’t put it past Rove and his buddies to give Yeb! the questions, and I expect this WSJ “debate” is filled with landmines for Trump.
Gerard Baker is a puke......all the candidates need to nail this a$$wipe to the wall!
Well, I used to watch Maria’s show on FNC on Sunday mornings until I discovered that the only 3 people she had for her “panel” were three left-leaning moderates: Ed Rollins, Pat Caddell and Dick Schoen. Then Pat Caddell dropped out and she added Joe Trippi or any other of the regular radical leftists which inhabit the station.
Gave up.
Barteromo is a DemocRat.
Nice to look at, but she’s on the side of the democrats.
She’s been told to rescue Jeb Bush. He’s got the questions in advance. Interesting that this report is from a Florida newspaper.
Fox News is pimping for Ben Carson big time today, they even had the doctor’s segment at 12:30 Eastern today featuring a sit down with Carson and Dr. Siegel.
Then they led with Carson again at 1 Eastern.
That Regan girl has been shown behaving like the liberal she is, in her own interviews against guests, on FBN.
Since Megyn Kelly got the ball rolling with the *shrew* approach this cycle, things have really backfired on all the media who followed her lead as well as Brett and Chris. Because of pushback, perhaps this “debate” will be polite and informative.
“They see him as the epitome of a bought and paid-for establishment candidate,â the lawmaker said.”
Sounds like a good reason to DUMP HIM and pick up the OTHER CANDIDATE that is a âbought and paid-for establishment candidate”.
Perhaps they think that people won’t notice?
