Which ones did not taste death?

Anyone who managed to live until the Jewish war, and to whom the warnings were meant to benefit: "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." (Luk 21:20-24)

It's quite clear that this is a stunning prediction of the impending war against Israel, and, indeed, the Gentiles are trodding down Jerusalem even to this day, with your "holy of holies" under the control of Muslims who never cease exploding in your cities.

Utter malarkey. In my very congregation there is a Jew who can trace his lineage to King David in an unbroken paternal line.

They can't prove it, since all such records were long destroyed, and the majority of Jews do not know from what tribe they come from either. Aside from a few magical people claiming to be able to trace their lineage, the tribal distinctions have long disappeared.

It doesn’t change the fact that we have polar opposite beliefs.

Yes, but your opposite beliefs are inspired by idiot Rabbis who think eating mud from around the toilet will cure diseases. Let the reader have their illusions broken about the superiority of Jewish interpreters with that fact alone.

You have your interpretations and you have your peaceful wait. Well, your wait.
