I think that you will find that Greetings_Puny_Humans is not exactly what most people would call “open-minded” about these matters. He’s made up his mind, and no facts, argument or proof will sway him...which is sad, because ALL of us are imperfect, and ALL of us should learn more as we go through life - so as to improve ourselves and the world around us. Maybe he’s a good person - I certainly hope so - but open-minded he’s not. He will not be swayed by your statements.
In my life, I encountered many people with zero curiosity for knowing HaShem. I cannot condemn them anymore. All they do is look around and see the sickness, and they don’t desire the ultimate cure.
On the other hand, every day another “evangelical Christian” or “Jehovah’s Witness” or “Roman Catholic” converses with another who upholds Torah. They try their hardest by quoting things out of context from books they don’t understand. And when the Jew rebukes and explains, a spark may light in that desperate mind. Since man made religion is extremely fragile and requires an extraordinary competency for mental gymnastics, once in awhile one of them abandons their loosely weaved fragments.
So in retrospect, maybe calls for “converting the Jews” may backfire and produce quite an education. ;)
