We conservatives (not GOP) need to pick and choose candidates in the primary election that fit our standards. David Vitter the corrupt incumbent doesn’t fit conservative standards, and that is problem number 1. Neither do some/many others with an R after their name such as Eric Cantor. We need to remold the GOP into an ethical Party that serves Americans and America, and not globalists, illegals, other countries and corporations.
Whether he’s corrupt or not, I don’t really know but he is very conservative. He’s certainly not my first choice for governor, but he sure seems better than Edwards. The Heritage Action for America gives Vitter a score of 85% - significantly above the 68% average for the Senate GOP. By way of comparison, Mitch McConnell has a score of just 61%. So I think Louisianans would be wise to look at Vitter’s record and then vote for him.
“We conservatives (not GOP) need to pick and choose candidates in the primary election that fit our standards. David Vitter the corrupt incumbent doesn’t fit conservative standards, and that is problem number 1...”
But, it NOW is only either a personally flawed conservative Vitter or a total “kiss up for Obama” Edwards for Louisiana governor. I’m voting for Vitter. But of course, I’ll always support better candidates in the future.
Can’t be done easily with the kinds of voters we have
