Far Right Forms Coalition in European Parliament

France's National Front announced Tuesday it had formed a new far-right bloc in the European Parliament that will qualify for up to nearly $20 million in funding over the next four years. Marine Le Pen, leader of the FN, said the group would be called Europe of Nations and Freedoms. Her allies share Le Pen's desire to curb immigration and the influence of Islam in Europe -- a concern that critics have described as xenophobic. They include the Dutch Party for Freedom, the Freedom Party of Austria, Italy's Lega Nord and Vlaams Belang from Belgium as well as lawmakers from the Polish KNP party. At a press conference in Brussels, Le Pen described it as a "political strike force that will go far beyond our previous situation." She said far-right parties like the FN had “growing support” in Europe. “This group is the result of a year of efforts, and our wish to avoid making dubious alliances like other groups. It’s good news for our countries, our people, our freedom,” she said.

Along with Geert Wilders. I don't believe this has been discussed yet, but it does mean that European Conservatives will have more power in the EU Parliament because of how they are organized (more money for lobbying and influencing legislation on committess in the E.U. Parliament).

This group is an other EU Sceptic Group in competition with Nigel Farage and Beppe Gillo's group. But the more the better "far right" in Europe, unless they're actual Nazis. The media tends to mix up actual conservatives with crazies to slander the good guys fighting for a European Future!@

The EU Parliament has no legislative power. They are there merely to rubber stamp the laws that the Commission writes (the Commission also passes them, and the Commission is appointed, so there is no separation of powers). That said, they can just down-vote whatever comes out of the Commission if they do not like it, but what would come out of there that they would not like, no matter how openly left-wing the MEPs are?

Grillo is no friend of Israel. Le Pen wants to get chummy with Iran. The UKIP a few years ago attacked Israel with the usual left-wing lies too and demanded “proportional response” to terror attacks.

Marine LePen will be President of France before much longer. The French have had about enough of the violent Muslim parasites

“The Nazis were LEFT and RIGHT! Since when has Socialism been considered Conservative?”

The Nazis were not right. Whenever you hear about Nazis getting labeled as being right-wing this comes from Stalinist propaganda going back to the 1930s and has been repeated ever since. Stalin and Hitler were in competition for membership to their respective Leftist groups.

Some guy named Anton Drexler started a Leftist group in Bremen, Germany in 1918 called the Free Workers’ Committee For A Good Peace with the goal of challenging the rise of Communism and internationalist politics as Germany devolved into it’s economic depression and the problems created by the Weimar Republic plus the problems created by the Versailles Treaty. He later met with an influential figure named Count Felix Graf von Bothmer who the concept of “national socialism.” About a year later he renamed it the German Workers’ Party.

The Nazis were through and through Leftists because they were the National SOCIALISTS or more formally, the National SOCIALIST German Workers’ Party (aka NSDAP - Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei). It was previous known as the German Workers’ Party (aka DAP - Deutsche Arbeiterpartei). You have socialists and unionists who ran the show and both were Leftists.

If European Nationalists are joining forces and getting better organized (and funded) that’s good news...bump!
