Dad was a lifetime member of the NRA and I had ready access to American Rifleman and other gun-oriented mags and it didn't cause me to shoot anyone or do anything else that shouldn't be done with a gun...in fact it helped educate me on the differences in guns/ammo and also stressed safety - both personal like wearing glasses/ear protection and making sure that you didn't shoot someone/something that shouldn't be shot.
Exactly. Most people have not given any thought to the fact that gun magazines have no minimum age of purchase. While we laugh about it on this thread, others out there read this article and think, "I would not be comfortable with my child purchasing a gun magazine. We have to do something about this!" And the gears start turning.
What the left deftly did here was introduce the notion into people's heads that gun magazines should be restricted to adults, because they currently are not. Better yet, treat them as porn and pull them from grocery store shelves altogether.
