Actually, I just looked this up in his book, and he never says he "got" a full scholarship to WP. He says he was "offered" one. Further, he never (as Politico tries to imply) says he applied to or was accepted to WP. In fact, he says the opposite - he rejected the chance to go to WP to pursue his medical career.

Has any one of us ever ‘gotten’ an ‘offer’ of a ‘scholarship’ from a school a) they never applied to, or b) one that charges no tuition to anyone attending?

for a super smart man, he sure mangled the queen’s English on this one (best case scenario).
