No surprise here: Donald Trump was the first to react to news Friday that Ben Carson was never offered admission at West Point, despite his past claims that he was offered a scholarship to the military academy.
"WOW, one of the many lies by Ben Carson! Big story," Trump tweeted, the latest in a string of attacks on Carson by the business mogul.

I had a pretty good idea of what schools would offer me before I applied.
When my sons were ready for college, we had a pretty good idea of what they would be offered before they applied
<><><><
No doubt. But are you calling your ‘pretty good idea’ an actual scholarship offer?
“Youâre just out of gas.
Go eat.”
If I’m out of gas, you are full of it, lol. Chow’s on.
Has he ever discussed the Constitution? If he has, I've missed it. I'm sure his aides have told him about its existence.
No, but I follow different standards of truth than presidential candidates, especially liberals, and those pretending to be conservatives. I’ve seen this before and I try to make allowances.
He has no need to talk about the Constitution.
He’s going to “reign.”

“@Robostop10: @realDonaldTrump This is not good. http://www.politico.com/story/2015/11/ben-carson-west-point-215598 ⦔ WOW, one of many lies by Ben Carson! Big story.
Shaking my head...
No doubt, this is a media created fire storm. That being said, Carson was ‘high up’ In the JROTC program and was very smart. My son was in JROTC and he and other cadets in the program were all familiar with the appointment process for West Point,. Seems strange that Carson would characterize the event in such a manner.
As a strong Trump supporter, I was simply giving you what I think is a reasonable alert to the fact that it isn’t so cut and dried as it first appeared.
Even his Facebook post.
Poor choice of words, yes, but a lie? No, I don’t think so.
I want Carson out, he would make a pathetic doormat of a President.
Not like this, we should be the ones who decide, not Politico.
I find it stunning that Trump jumped on the MSM bandwagon on this. IMHO this could be the beginning of the end for Trump.
With regard to the Carson “scholarship offer”: I personally don’t see a problem with what Carson said. From my own personal experience; I was recruited and verbally promised an athletic scholarship to attend a school that I did not apply to. In my mind, I feel as though I was offered a scholarship to attend that school.
BTW, regarding a post you made recently, Ted Cruz is in the Senate, not the Congress, LOL.
“BTW, regarding a post you made recently, Ted Cruz is in the Senate, not the Congress, LOL.”
You’re one sick puppy, aren’t you.
I received a similar offer (but non atletic) to the Naval Academy.
I fully believe to this day that if I applied, I would have received an appointment .
BTW Congress refers to both House and Senate as in “the two houses of Congress”
So actually she was correct and you as we say in the South well bless your heart. :-)
I listened to all of Rush today, and he is going to be busy in the coming days retracting his words, and backing down, because Carson has lied and the truth is going to be coming out more and more. All sorts of people are researching Carson now, after plural exaggerations and outright lies on his part. Rush will live to regret his defense here of Carson. Carson’s own words betray himself.
Uh-huh, LOL.
The day the Trump and Carson campaigns ended.
Trump apparently cannot do addition because he needs Carson voters - he doesn’t need to piss them off.
In the business world you don’t need 50% +1 , a small devoted following will make you millions. Not so in politics.
“Not like this, we should be the ones who decide, not Politico.”
Carson’s own words in his autobiography and on his Facebook post are damning him, not just Politico. You and Rush are using the Politico article by itself to try to save Carson’s butt, but there is a lot more out there than just the Politico article; Westmoreland’s widow; the Army’s statement, and Carson’s own words, for starters. You too will eat your words here. There’s more to come.
“So, this came from Robostop10, not Donald Trump.”
Amazing how some in this thread are quick to jump on Trump for something he did not say. Sounds hypocritical to me.
