Isn’t that their anthem? Woe, Canada. Unfortunately for Canada, the Bakken stops at the North Dakota line. The equivalent in Alberta is called the Exshaw but no one yet has been able to crack the code, as far as I know.

Lifting and exploration costs are very high in Canada due to the terrain and in some cases labor cost. The decrease in the Canadian dollar is killing them too.
This isnt new...a similar situation happened in the mid-late 80s.

Would Canadian and American oil be able to supply both nations without OPEC? How would the pipeline help both countries now? Do we have our own refineries (I know only one new on being built in PA)?
