HARRISBURG, Pa. - Facing criminal charges, relieved of her law license and threatened with removal by the Legislature, Pennsylvania's attorney general seems to have decided that if she has to go, she's going to take others down with her.

Since all three branches of state government began moving against her over the past year, Kathleen Kane has released hundreds of sexually explicit or otherwise crude emails that had been sent or received by current or former public officials on their government accounts.

The tangled scandal has led to the downfall of a state environmental secretary and shamed a state police commissioner, a Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice and several former top officials in the attorney general's office. Another high-court justice resigned after newspapers disclosed his involvement.

Kane has threatened to release more, and the state Capitol is ablaze with speculation about whose emails may be next in the drip-drip-drip of disclosures.

"It's a mess. It's just a freaking mess," said John Morganelli, the Northampton County district attorney and a Democrat who at one time supported Kane. "Accusations and counter-accusations. And it gets worse every day. It's like going into a war zone."

The moral equivalence your trying to draw is exactly the atmosphere she wanted to create. Congratulations! You're a dupe and a fool. The PA AG has repeatedly covered up evidence of actual corruption, in additional to scuttling investigations against her party [That would be Democrats for you "Uniparty" morons.] She is guilty of a number of process crimes and she is almost certainly guilty of felony extortion. There is NO moral equivalence whatsoever between a bunch of idiots with a Fratboy mentality passing around dirty pictures and a truly corrupt official who has abused her office to shield her friends and advance the Left's agenda. None.

I don't know where you come from, but where I come from, if you don't engage in seamy activities, you can't be blackmailed or dragged through the mud by someone worse who is trying to justify their own criminal behavior.

I hope you don't enjoy the "Fratboy" mentality and pass around dirty pictures using work resources - but you really did over-react to my comment about how a lot of folks must be doing sleazy things....

Saying there is no moral equivalence is to deny the nature of God's rule - if these other folks did some crap (even though not up to the felonies the main character did), then they need to be gotten rid of or handled for their own lack of good judgement. Because a real bad egg flails around at others to try to mitigate what she did in the public eye, doesn't mean they are also faultless and that they should be defended. If they did nothing wrong, they couldn't be used as cat's paws by her - just like all them folks who got outed for using the cheating/adultery site....

I think you need to find a mirror if you want to see a better image of a "dupe and a fool".
