To: Pearls Before Swine

What is interesting is all of the outrage and the walkout over a message left on a computer screen. Few years back on of the leaders of the Berkeley High Black Student Union was gunned down by a street thug and no protest resulted.

Think of it as a social phenomenon. The seed was someone, or some group, noticing something on a computer screen. How does it “catch fire” and get the whole student body going?

I submit it works about the same as when someone yells “fight” and the crowd comes running.
