I live in Palatine. There are actually two public high schools in the village of which we live within the boundaries of this HS. Both of these schools are top notch academically and in sports. Fortunately, my wife and I had the wherewithal to send our kids to the local Catholic HS.

The principal and district superintendent vowed to fight this tooth-and-nail, but I don’t know if they have any recourse now. A lot of our neighbors send their kids to Palatine HS. It will be interesting to hear what they have to say. And more important, what they’re going to do. If the school foregoes the Fed funding, then there goes my taxes.

Hi neighbor. I recently moved from Palatine to Barrington. My boys went to Fremd. Is this freak at Fremd or Palatine? From what I have read, I have to say that the way this has been handled seems surprisingly good. Perhaps I am missing something but I am happy to hear that the powers that be have stood up and fought this BS, yes??
