Words matter, except to leftists. They feeeeeel that euphemisms will disorient and misdirect people away from the clear meaning of things.

I would also add, that by changing the negative descriptive language or labels to force people to try to be more politically correct only serves to raise the ire of those being coerced into using that language. A good example of this is ‘illegal alien’ vs. ‘undocumented immigrant’.
