Rumsfeld was an arrogant fellow ...”

Rumsfeld has declined to comment on the book.

Does not the latter disprove the former?

I have no delusion that my opinion carries weight. I do not know these people and can only speak from what I saw, heard and reasoned.

So...I liked Rumsfeld but not Cheney. I was fooled by W.

IIRC, Rumsfeld's memoirs were gracious towards GHWB. Rumsfeld often was a no-holds barred leader. He gave his side of the story in his memoirs, and it was a great read. The sections of his childrens' drug abuse pulled no punches, and were heart rending.
