Did he criticize the Clintons for what they did to this country. I’m not going to read the book to find out but my guess is no.

My idea is the Bushes saved the poison for conservatives.

The radical left never even got the wet noodle treatment.

If you don’t mind I’ll take a dozen Cheney’s and Rumsfeld’s for every Bush...

{Excerpted}Speaking of Cheney, who was vice president under President George W. Bush, the senior Bush said: “I don’t know, he just became very hard-line and very different from the Dick Cheney I knew and worked with,” according to the report.

On Rumsfeld, secretary of defense for most of the two terms served by his son, Bush is even more critical. He is quoted as saying: “I don’t like what he did, and I think it hurt the President,” referring to his son.

Rummy was the Grand Architect of The Hollow Carter Military. Rummy had issues as Ford's Sec of Defense. Very few people remember his first tenure due to the short Ford term. One policy was if you don't like the military well then just leave. Indeed just leave a lot of service members did. I mean walked off AWOL/Desertion and were processed out often without so much as a day Brig time. Thirty one days U.A. and reporting to a different command usually got you out up until about late 1977. This was a discussed possible policy in Gulf War 2.

What really irks me is Rummy under "W" sat by and let the likes of Murtha and Liberal JAG's run a roughshod persecution over troops deployed in combat areas. On 9/11 Rummy should have known which aircraft carriers were deployable and mission ready and any serious issues. I'm certain there were a lot of SIT-REPS and CAS-REPS on file at both the ships Engineering Log rooms and The Pentagon. It was his job to know this.

Cheney? As GHWB's Sec of Def we started seeing successful proven programs ended such as the F-14. Yes it cost a lot. But it ruled the skies Fighter wise. Cheney should have fought congress harder as Sec of Def on cuts that began under GHWB's administration and the resulting neglect it caused as the end result. Cheney wasn't that good of a Sec of Defense. I'd say he was more interested in corporate related issues than defense.

IOW I didn't care for Cheney or Rummy in the positions they held but for entirely different reasons. Perhaps the letter "W" father and son share was more related to the "WIMP" trait in the family.

Cheney, Rummy, and Condie are the only people who didn’t crash and burn over the years, in my estimation.

Cheney’s response was classic and dead on. Rumsfeld didn’t comment; he was accused of being arrogant. I’ve followed them both through the years. Rumsfeld was never about humble or arrogant; he was totally about brutal, honest, objective evaluation, whether about himself or Hussein or anyone in between. Totally loyal to his boss, he dealt in facts and responded appropriately; the best Sec of Defense we ever had. I would follow him anywhere.

Perhaps Poppy Bush could explain his perjury regarding his statements that he had not been employed by the CIA until he became director in 1974?

The fact is, George H.W. Bush WAS a CIA case officer in 1963 and had been involved with the Bay of Pigs operation (aka ‘Operation Zapata’) and for over 20 years, GHWB could not ‘recall’ just where exactly he was on the day that JFK was assassinated.

Now if one resists the temptation to dismiss all this as ‘moonbat material’, Google up the terms ‘George H.W. Bush’, ‘CIA’, ‘JFK’ and ‘assassination’ and a wealth of information will turn up, and I contend that it cannot all be dismissed. Here is one link I found interesting:

http://realitieswatch.com/proof-george-hw-bush-was-a-cia-agent-involved-in-the-assassination-of-jfk/

And in the area of ‘what a coincidence’, I still find it inexplicable that the last time America had a Bush as Vice President (GHWB in 1981) that the President was shot less than 90 days into his first term, AND that the Bush and Hinckley families were the very best of friends and in fact Scott Hinckley (brother of would be assassin John) was supposed to have had dinner with Neil Bush in Denver on 13 March 1981, the very next day after Reagan was shot on the 30th.

Coincidence? I think not.

Correction: that should be 31 March 1981 for the Bush-Hinckley dinner, not 13 March.

” GHWB could not ‘recall’ just where exactly he was on the day that JFK was assassinated.”

If he really said that, I don’t believe him for a second.

GHWB is a founding member of the eGOP and the NWO.

Get lost, you backstabbing, senile old goat.

And take your idiotic, loser family with you.

I have to agree with you, and I have always had my suspicions on this situation....I was living in Colorado at the time and I think Hinkley was also living in Denver then...

There was a lot of talk about how close the Bushes and the Hinkleys were...and after this happened the talks of George Sr. and JFK came up in a lot of talk around town...

I researched it for a time, but I think now, since the money to fund George Jr.’s campaign came from some Saudi’s fortunes, and the fact that GWB got the Saudis out on an airplane directly after the twin towers, pentagon and PA happened..made me research even more...they call the situation a little ‘tin hat’ but if you do research you will find somethings that are to tied together...

U.S. Grant faced the same problem.

Grant died of throat cancer and spent the last days of his life writing his memoirs with a clear memory.

Is the oil money that important to the Bush family or are the closet Muslims?

How do you know his mind was clear ?

Because I read two biographies and wrote an upper level paper on him in college.

He wrote his memoirs so that his family would not be left destitute after his death. A man with no clear mind would not have stuck with that goal while in terrible pain. He died shortly after finishing his book.

Sure, I'll just go and use Google (not a verb, BTW), as a source for political info. Cuz maybe wiki, PMSNBC, and huffop are down.

If you were an ignorant slob and didn't know anything at all and wanted to use Google to find some 'political info', you could find Free Republic that way.

Google is not an end unto itself, but an avenue to finding data but I'm sure you know that.

Or at the minimum, you could try refuting the content of my post #27, I'm sure Poppy Bush and the entire Bush family would be most grateful to you.

Th man couldn’t wait to undo the Reagan legacy. Reagan’s biggest mistake was Bush as VP.
