I could understand why this boy wouldn’t feel comfortable showering with other boys. He would probably be made fun of, and the other boys would likely be even more uncomfortable than him. But why do his rights trump the girls’ rights to shower without penises?
They say that a transgender has to be treated in accordance with his or her feelings, while doing so specifically ignores the feelings and sensitivities of those around the transgender individual.
That inconsistency tells one much about the agenda being driven here.

I’d guess that half of teenage boys will now “identify”. What normal teen boy would pass up that chance?
The real-world solution is likely to be that schools eliminate shower facilities. That way they are not “discriminating” against peeping toms or against the mentally ill, and they can avoid these frivolous lawsuits. As usual with liberalism, everyone loses, but we all lose equally.
There is a legal document that states the gender of an individual; it is called a birth certificate. Use it.
