You are dense arenât you. I see you joined about a month ago. I think his point is perfectly valid. It's just a perspective from an older generation. Americans as wilting flowers is the latest "Pajama boy" attitude. We used to be made of sterner stuff.

The older generation, the greatest generation (so called) didn’t raise pansies. I don’t understand where you’re getting that.
We’re not allowed to be made of stronger stuff. This is 2015 and we lost the cultural war and every other war.

I don't think that provides any explanation. A lot of this group are most certainly veterans, who tend to be white and not have high school diplomas and have lower incomes.
The skyrocketing rate is also affecting the 45-54 age group the worst. I think it'd be a stretch to say they're made of sterner stuff than the baby boomer demographic.
