Something startling is happening to middle-aged white Americans. Unlike every other age group, unlike every other racial and ethnic group, unlike their counterparts in other rich countries, death rates in this group have been rising, not falling.
That finding was reported Monday by two Princeton economists, Angus Deaton, who last month won the 2015 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Science, and Anne Case. Analyzing health and mortality data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and from other sources, they concluded that rising annual death rates among this group are being driven not by the big killers like heart disease and diabetes but by an epidemic of suicides and afflictions stemming from substance abuse: alcoholic liver disease and overdoses of heroin and prescription opioids.
The analysis by Dr. Deaton and Dr. Case may offer the most rigorous evidence to date of both the causes and implications of a development that has been puzzling demographers in recent years: the declining health and fortunes of poorly educated American whites. In middle age, they are dying at such a high rate that they are increasing the death rate for the entire group of middle-aged white Americans, Dr. Deaton and Dr. Case found.

Absolutely. I've been saying that we need to move into the entertainment and news industries, and provide balance to an arena that is wholly dominated by the left.
We need our own broadcast networks, etc.

Johnson’s War on Poverty, the Great Society, Immigration are all Democrat vote farming.
The producer class is failing under the whip of coerced servitude to the entitled consumer class.
I know people amongst my fairly small circle of friends who are feeling the pinch, and the subject of suicide has come up in casual conversation. Older people are more prone to depression. If you know one, hug them and tell them you love them.

At first, I was just gonna say “nope” as an answer to your question.
Not everyone is/was familiar with urban/homosexual meanings to things.
It’s a long story, involving innocent kids who gave a name to their baby sister almost 50 years ago. And I chose it as a screenname because I couldn’t think of another one.
It saddens me that a wonderful childhood nickname that I cherish is degraded in this way. We’ve really allowed them to change our language. Sad. Just like the rainbow isn’t just a rainbow anymore.

But conservatives didn’t abandon it, they were turned.
By inundation of drugs in that class of people who do education.
I'm not surprised. This age group, mostly whites, have been most affected by the massive increases of imported visa workers.
1999 was the year the H1B visa cap was increased from 63,000 to 193,000 (with cap exemptions for visa workers being hired by government, academia, and government contractors; meaning those were not counted). The official cap was lowered after three years, but the numbers kept increasing. Other types of visas were also expanded, such that during those years, 140,000 visa workers per month, 1.68 Million visa workers per year, were coming into the USA to displace American citizens from their jobs.
In that 15 years, 25.2 Million visa workers of all types were imported to displace that many American citizens in all sectors of the economy.
Like many of us have said, importing visa workers is a form of genocide.
