Dear FRiends: We need your help to keep the lights on!! [FReepathon thread XXXI]

Posted on 11/2/2014, 12:21:56 PM by Jim Robinson

I thought it might be fun and enlightening to look back exactly one year at 2014's 4th Quarter's FReepathon on this very same date and compare it to today's 2015 FReepathon to check our progress, or not.

2014's November 2, thread was XXXI.

2015's November 2, thread is XXXIII.

ON NOVEMBER 2, 2014, JIM WROTE:

Make it a monthly if you can.
We have some very generous FReeper sponsors kicking in an extra ten bucks for every new monthly signed up.
We already have 21 New Monthly Donors this quarter.

TODAY, in 2015, WE HAVE 23 NEW MONTHLY DONORS!

Or send in a hundred dollars or more per quarter and join I_be_tc's growing list of 300 Club patriots.
I_be_tc sends in $100 per quarter and challenges 300 others to do the same.
And we have received 97 donations of $100 or more so far this quarter TOTALING $12,436.

TODAY, in 2015, WE HAVE 94 DONATIONS OF $100 or more TOTALING $14,165.57!!!

That 2014 4th Quarter FReepathon of Ours took until December 3rd to complete! We ended with 219 Donations of $100.00 or more that brought in a TOTAL of $28,426 and 49 NEW Monthly Donors!

Two (2) Month long FReepathons have seemingly and very unfortunately become the new norm. I and those of us remaining on Jim's dedicated FReepathon Team are at a complete loss for a remedy.

These 2 Month FReepathons have taken their toll on Jim's Team, We have, understandably, lost some of our treasured Team Members and replacements have not volunteered. FReepathon Team Members spend at least 8-12 hours daily trying to induce you all to please support Free Republic in a timely manner, --- like within the first month!

Jim has made it crystal clear several times that Free Republic will remain self-supporting --- no damn ads --- no sugar daddies --- no outside influences --- and definitely no government subsidies, tax breaks or political party affiliations.

We are, and we will remain totally self-funded, fiercely independent, so that we can enjoy our freedom to speak plainly in the support of God, family, country and liberty!!

But Free Republic cannot exist without you, our loyal, liberty-loving FReeper-Patriots who treasure Free Republic and one another.

Were half of y'all, our wonderful, awesome, loyal, FReeper-Patriots and regular users to reliably donate $5, $10, $20, $30 or more Monthly, this FReepathon and all FReepathons would be events of the past, and THAT is a FACT!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CONSIDER SIGNING UP TO DONATE MONTHLY PROVIDED YOU RELIABLY CAN!

Prayers up for our beloved Republic!

Special prayers for all our members in need, including but not limited to JRandomFReeper & JustAmy.

"What would YOU do without Free Republic?"

(I'd be lost. The best of my FRiends are here and that means YOU ALL!)

THANKS SO MUCH EVERYBODY!!

God bless and keep you all and everyone you hold precious.

I am onyx

YES! She tells me she is totally excited and I know I am. I’m all alone here 24/7 - 365, so I am going to enjoy every minute of her visit. Prior to her visit, my daughter, my 12 year old grandson and French son-in-law from the Cayman’s are coming here for 6 days, so from mid November through the 28th, I won’t be alone. Thank you, Lord!!

OKay, thanks so much!
I actually will have a ride to both stores.
Forget the food. I will just go to Walgreen’s to buy Diet Cokes on sale! I don’t need to eat today! LOL.

I’m sick of the Cayman’s and now I can’t leave my Louie alone and I can’t take him with me either!

She’s lived there for 25 years, so I’ve been there at least 20 times. I’ve made friends my age and I like to see them, but it’ll be another year before I’m ready for a return visit.

I guess if you've been there that often it's not a big deal.

I love the Island! I’d just prefer to visit when “my friends” are also there. Most of them have stateside homes too.

Sorry I wasn’t here earlier. With Mr. T away I had to get up before the crack of dawn with the dogs, and ended up sleeping on and off all morning. Then I had to work out this afternoon. Thank goodness he’s back.

I think tonight we are having bacon and eggs, orange juice, toast from sourdough bread with strawberry jam and real butter.

The dogs won't eat quite as well, but they will be happy. Must go feed them now.
