Not for manpads.
The best, the latest Stinger missiles, can get to about 26,000, The best Russian does around 22,000 feet.
There are definitely AAW missile systems that can get to 30,000 feet, but not man portable ones.
IMHO, a bomb seems most likely at this point. But the others have to be explored.
I trust your judgement on these matters Jeff.
Do we know for certain what the altitude of the airliner was.

ISIS, nee Al Qaeda in Iraq, used these for anti-aircraft fire in Iraq. They’d line up near a Navigation beacon and fire at approaching aircraft.
“An investigation by aviation experts using data from the aircraft’s “black boxes” has yet to give its conclusions. “
YET, the Russians have declared that it was NOT a technical problem, or aircraft failure, and that the pilot absolutely did NOT declare a problem and ask to descend for an emergency landing.
This goes in the face of the Egyptian statement (ATC) that the pilot did say they were having technical problems and needed to land.
The Russians are DENYING plane failure to much for me to believe that it was anything else.
From the video ISIS released the plane was clearly NOT at full cruising altitude
The question was of a UAV reaching FL300 ... not at all a problem for some.
