There was no reason for them to stop her. I continue to support the police but doing things like this is not helping. I walk everyday in my neighborhood and never once was stopped by police.
Let me guess, she was walking on the wrong side of the road, I.e., with her back to oncoming traffic. She should be happy that to those two officers, Black Lives Matter.

I'm not 100% sure why they wanted to see her ID -- that's not improper, but I always think that's kind of authoritarian. But it has nothing to do with her race.
She gets attacked and assaulted on that street one of these mornings and she’ll be suing the P.D. for not providing full-time patrols in the upscale burbs for rich hysterical hoodied black brrritches.

The cops then turned on their lights and asked for her identification since blocking traffic is a misdemeanor.

I carry one almost everywhere. What’s anyone supposed to do if she’s hit by a car, has a seizure, or becomes unconscious for any other reason and they need to know who she is, to start to find out who to contact?

I saw the video from the getgo. She was given the reason as soon as the police approached. She was walking on the wrong side of the road, and as she was apatently wearing ear buds, she was oblivious to traffic behind her, and impeding traffic and endangering herself.
The cop’s were fairly polite.
Thought the “(whatever)-while-black” stuff went out in the 90’s...
From where is she ‘degreed’? My hubby (dean) comes across morons who have these ‘mail order internet degrees’ all the time,
I watched this earlier and read part of her article.She lied.She said they had the sirens on.A driver complained about her so they just warned her and checked to see if she was local.End of story.

I have a solution for this.
This American does, all the time. I slip my DL out of my wallet and into my pants pocket before every walk and hike. It's just common sense in case you get hurt, hit by a car, or get sick. I want to be sure emergency teams can reach my wife in an emergency.
This sounds more like a case of Walking While Stupid or Walking With a Big Black Chip on Your Shoulder.
I watch the video and I couldn’t tell she was black until the cops got out of the car and she turned around.
