considering the area it left from..and the aircraft ...Russian in the Middle East and the politics going on... sabotage of some kind a good suspect till eliminated.... realistically for ISIS wouldn't that be a prime target of opportunity to put a bomb on the Soviet civilian aircraft that was leaving airport of low security in the Middle East. would be low hanging fruit. that's why they call it terrorism...

It's a bomb. But I bet the smuggler had to pay a couple of hundred Euros to get it through security.
