None of the low pollers seem eager to drop out. In some cases—thinking Jindal in particular—the lower the polls, the more determined the candidate seems to hang tough.
Maybe they are hoping a modified debate format will help them. I read that one idea being floated is two debates of equal length, with seven candidates each, the participants in each being chosen at random, and equal speaking time for all. Maybe the less-than-one-percent candidates deludionslly imagine such a format would enable them to catapult into the top tier.
