Unemployment isn’t welfare. It’s insurance that you pay into when you work. If you don’t work you are not eligible for it.
Unemployment is insurance that was supposed to run out so you will find another job and go back to paying into it.
Last time I checked they kept extending it forever.

People tend to miraculously find new jobs as soon as the unemployment checks stop coming. That is, before Obama, when they used to stop coming.
