Les Stroud did an episode of Survivorman in the southwest and was talking about the disease. He even ate a rodent he caught but made a point of not touching it and making sure it was well cooked.
yeah, the rodent that was ‘caught’ very likely was bought at a pet store just for this episode- Les isn’t an idiot- he wouldn’t risk his life for a show- He also woukldn’t know if a wild rodent had hunta virus- which is very deadly as well, and is an airbourne virus that can be stirred up easily into the air=- I just can’t see him taking the risk- I think a lot of these ‘reality’ shows are actually carefully orchestrated to appear real, but aren’t-
