BOULDER, COLORADO â The Republican Party held their third debate in Boulder, Colorado Wednesday night and if anyone came out on top of the third Republican debate Wednesday night, it was Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.
The biggest spat of the night came when former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush attacked Rubio over his absence in the senate, which Rubio dodged gracefully and countered with an attack on what he called the mainstream media â Hillary Clinton's real super PAC. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz scored some easy media-bashing points as well.
Jeb Bush did nothing but dig deeper into his poll numbers. Besides his failed jab at Rubio, the former governor offered a warm kiss to any Democrat willing to cut spending by $10. Businesswoman Carly Fiorina, the winner of the previous debate, says she worked on her smile; she would have been better off working on her platform.
Businessman Donald Trump surprisingly went after Governor of Ohio John Kasich for serving on the board for Lehman Brothers, and in true Trump fashion, teased Kasich for being placed on the end of the stage.
Of course, most of the candidates had Democratic favorite Hillary Clinton in their sights. We'll remain in the center of our seats until the first caucuses and primaries in February.

The thing you have to admit....in a debate situation...Cruz literally destroys the competition and the moderator. The Republicans haven’t had a guy like this for debates....in at least a hundred years. In some 2016 Presidential debate....if he did get to the end with Hillary opposing him....I don’t think the media can dig up anyone to help Hillary. It’ll be a cage match, and Cruz will tear loose on both her and the helpless moderator crew. I’d actually pay a hundred bucks to watch 90 minutes of that type action....it’d be better than a WWE event.
CNN is already starting to push Rubio. This morning had a 10 min. rant on how great he is. Of course, if Rubio wins the nomination, and I sure hope he doesn't, there is a lot they can and will throw against him.
Strassel’s column in the WSJ today would have cost Rubio millions. WSJ editorial page really wants a squish in the WH. They are really scared of an outsider. They still don’t get it. Strassel is backing Rubio, Christie, and to a very much lesser extent Cruz. Anybody but an outsider, and ANYBODY but Trump.
They’re living in a bubble over there. One thing Strassel DOES get is that nobody trusts the NE Tri-State area for anything anymore. It’s funny, because DC’s not on that list of hers.
I think the press is trying to come up with an alternative to their wet dream squish R nominee. They know Jeb is dead, so they are going for his Florida protégé.
Strassel is basically saying if they can’t have Jeb, they’ll settle for either Rubio or Christie, but not Cruz.
In two months, they’ll start rallying around Cruz, because it’ll be clear that the base, and white Democrats, will not support a candidate that doesn’t have his mind right on immigration. Of their preferred insiders, Cruz is closest to the base on this, but not completely there yet. He’s still wrong on H1-B.
Trump finally came out and said he’d prosecute companies who displace Americans with H1-Bs. Amen, and yea verily. About time.
Trump is currently leading in all aspects. CNBC would have gotten away with that crap the other night if Trump hadn’t shown these timid midgets how to fight.
Rubio at best....can pull first place in maybe two states (Florida and California). The news media would have to help him in California but it’s a possibility. Throw in super delegates and those two states....Rubio wins.
This is Trumps big problem...he has to literally take thirty-five-plus states to make the super-delegates at the convention a non-factor.
