The State University of New York at Geneseo has created posters that list phone numbers and emails of campus officials whom students can call to see if their Halloween costumes are offensive and culturally insensitive.
The poster states: “Halloween Checklist: Is Your Costume Offensive? Check yourself and check your friends,†and adds, "Unsure if your costume might be offensive. Don’t be scared to ask questions,†notes The College Fix.
Wesleyan University has a similar poster and a checklist that asks students to check to see if their costumes are mocking cultures, religions, ethnicities, or downplaying human suffering and oppression, reports InsideHigherEd.com.
A “Kanye Western†Halloween party put on by the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) on Oct. 6 sparked reports of partygoers wearing blackface.
However, The Huffington Post notes that the fraternity denied the blackface claim and no pictures have surfaced of partygoers in blackface.

Just reading this article has micro-stressed me. I might have to leave work early today and contemplate my choice of costume for tomorrow so that I do not micro-offend anybody.

Most of the on-campus suffering and oppression is really heartburn caused by the insane rantings of administrators paid to dream up nonsense like this.
So if you go as a mummy are you insulting a culture or downplaying human suffering and oppression? What about as a witch?
So they now have political officers there to approve of costumes? Oy!

If the university gives a “NO” list and students ignore it, then they should be kicked out. Sorry but this is not some innocent student who didn’t know. So sick and tired of our country not listening to authority at all.
We yell and scream at a police officer for lifting the desk because she didn’t listen to authority and we are all outraged
We yell and scream at the university for giving out a list of no’s to wear and when the kid gets suspended for not following authority we get all pissy.

Oh please. I worked at the Naval Academy and they would kick out a student who disobeyed a regulation faster then your head could spin. Please. Rules are rules and consequences will be had in all colleges.
I don’t conflate the two at all.
I think the costume thing is a big joke but I think most colleges and universities are big jokes - very expensive big jokes.
Leftists cannot be left enough even to satisfy themselves.
When I first heard this story, I assumed it was a joke. Apparently there are several colleges doing this. So we now actually employ PC police. Unbelievable.
