As a full-on tinfoil hat guy, you gotta wonder if his handlers somehow engineered any of this shot. I’m not an expert, but ... I think it is likely it is just one of those gravy shots like lightning strikes.

Did you catch the safari hunter from Beetlejuice over there on the right, in the shadows :)

Don’t over think it. Kids, like pets are hard to shoot even in a studio setting. If this were truly contrived, his older daughter’s hand wouldn’t have movement blur and his slight over exposure of those dresses wouldn’t be there. He would have pre dialed in his shutter speed, ISO and aperture for a studio style shot. The girls would have been coached to be “studio frozen”. This was an opportunity shot by the photographer, nothing more, nothing less.
