House lawmakers in both parties joined forces Wednesday to pass a sweeping budget deal that marks both a parting victory for outgoing Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and a valedictory gift for his likely replacement, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).

The final vote was 266 to 167, with 79 Republicans joining every Democrat in sealing passage. Ryan was among the supporters.

I mean overall. However I don’t know why speaking back to authority has become such a fear inducing subject on on the political right.

People can either stand or grovel. Staying silent helped the left run roughshod over us.

I really don’t believe they have thought beyond their noses.
They think living in “exclusive” areas or having a
sh*tload of money in an offshore account is gonna save
their mangy hides from the very henchmen they evidently plan to use to get shed of us!

Never said they weren't flawed in their choice of allies, however they already display the hubris of exclusivity that is common with most oligarchs and dictators.

To them, their only enemy of immediate concern is you and me and this anomaly of a nation that they think should be punished because it should never have come into existence.

As to whether they are smart, in terms of controlling the entire nation - Obama and his Marxist party have nationalized and now have *by law* total control of: food and food production; water; transportation; banking; loans; pensions; the internet; phone communication and soon - your ability to defend yourself.

They have been playing chess, while Americans continue to delude themselves into thinking the game is 'Go fish'.

Obama has thought well beyond his lying nose. His game is for keeps. Like idiots Americans assumed 'Fundamental Transformation' was just a campaign slogan.

By voting?

They laugh at you. They laugh at us.

They do the bidding of the Ruling Class and Obama anyway.

Not a dent in their ‘morale’.

We will have to crush more than their ‘morale’, for assuredly they intend to crush more than ours.

Because with this budget ‘deal’ they have crushed any opportunity for our economy and our financial system to survive.

And you and me with it.

America is about to discover poverty and ruination on a scale it cannot imagine.

But you go ahead and vote, thinking that will save us all if that makes you feel better.

Two parties in Washington fighting for the exact same thing.

Before they can be “oppositional”, Republicans have to oppose something....

So Ryan supports a bill the 2/3 Republicans oppose? Isn’t this contrary to the way he just said things should work?

Certainly the republican “party” is done.

79 of those “republicans” were democrats infiltrating the “party.” They should just be kicked out. Deport them.

We will lose the house if we kick them all out, but apparently we never had the house in the first place, just a fake majority made of republicans plus fakies. I will not even call the RINOS. Deport them and and we will at least see the enemy more clearly and stop them from voting in party specific issues.

“saying it three times is a charm ... never, ever voting again. Let ‘em get some other suckers but this old man is done.”

Welcome! In retrospect, it’ll be a happy day. Watch and see. There is so much else out there. Things to do that actually work.

Voting and participation in the electoral farce is clearly counterproductive. That is not to say “nothing can be done.” Quite the opposite. Once you finally figure out that the political system is a waste, you look for other things. And there is a whole lot out there.

This should disqualify Ryan, and I hope the 79 (a good portion of them over 42) vote NO on his Speakership.

We’d be much better of with someone like Marsha Blackburn, or D. Webster!~

If such can be found. Obviously they are few and far between. And what do you do once you find that virtuous individual? Assuming they can be found? Throw them to the beltway?

“This does not make sense. Just because you do not win does not mean you should quit. Voting does make a difference. There are probably about 40 conservatives in the House that would not be there if people followed your advice.”

And those 40 conservatives can accomplish precisely what? It’s self defeating and cruel to send leaders to work themselves to the bone for years, only to end up discouraged and defeated by a game they cannot ever win.

Electoral politics is a shut door for conservatives. That’s the bad news. The good news is there are numerous other doors open to us.

In most elections, the majority of the people don’t vote. 2008 was an odd exception, but even then the nonvoters appear to hsve eked out a plurality.

So, that being said, it kind of flies on the face of the “logic” that says the majority is stupid, low information etc. when they had enough common sense to stay away from the polls.

So....OK....if everything is fixed by the uninterested staying away from the polls, then why is everything so screwed up?

I can tell you why..

Because far more than 50% of the populace in this country is not really qualified to be voting..

Plato called this issue as a impossible problem a very long time ago.
